Description: This research on "Sexual Abuse of Street Boys in the Kathmandu Valley” was carried out by Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Centre (CWIN) in partnership with Save the Children. Street children are exposed to various vulnerabilities and hazards and sexual abuse is one of them. This research aims to capture the pervasive paradox that characterises street children. This study drills down into dynamics of the sexual abuse of street children previously overlooked. Furthermore, this study sheds light on the dynamics of sexual abuse experienced by street children. They are vulnerable yet resilient, resourceful, innovative and adaptable. The research tries to reflect children's perspectives and provides findings and insight that can play an instrumental role in the development of effective intervention strategies. We hope the recommendations prescribed by the study will be followed up by relevant government and non-governmental organisations including the donor community in Nepal.
